One of the last scenes on Scandal's season finale involved Harrison (character played by Columbus Short,) calling out Papa Pope for being the cause of the President’s teenage son's death. Harrison’s last appearance was him looking into the barrel of a gun. Many were left wondering if he got killed off….well Shonda Rhimes took that gun and shot Harrison herself.

Scandal creator, Shonda Rhimes recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel and declined to comment on Harrison’s fate stating, “You know I can’t tell you whether or not he's dead.”  Today, Harrison decided to release an official statement to Vampire Diaries' ghost whisperer, Bonnie, before he made her feel the pain of a thousand deaths.

"At this time I must confirm my exit from a show I've called home for three years, with what is the most talented ensemble on television today. I would like to first thank Shonda Rhimes for the opportunity to work with such an amazing cast," he said in a statement. "Thank you Gladiators, who have supported me throughout my entire career and of course to ABC and Shondaland for allowing me to play such a pivotal role in the Scandal series. I have enjoyed every single minute of it. Everything must come to an end, and unfortunately the time has come for Harrison Wright to exit the canvas. I wish nothing but the best for Shonda, Kerry [Washington], and the rest of the cast, who have become like a second family to me in such a short amount of time. For this, I will forever be grateful.”

Aint this a *BLEEP* - Columbus Short was arrested in March for allegedly knocking a man out during an altercation at a West Los Angeles restaurant. He was also charged with misdemeanor spousal battery on February 14. YES! Valentines' Day. smdh

I think it's safe to say that Columbus Short was not playing a character on Scandal. He was playing real life!

...and here's a picture of a plaid shirt and a pair of suspenders, because I think it's only right.
